This year Seguin Parks and Recreation program will be hosting their 2nd annual Kids Fishing Day, and with over a 175 kids last year they hope the next will be even more promising. The free event will be hosted April 11th, at the Irma Lewis Seguin Outdoor Learning Center starting at 9 a.m. till noon.
Two on-site classes will be held, Basics of Fishing will be at 9:30 and Advanced Fishing Techniques will be held at 10:30. Loaner poles will be on a first come first serve basis so if you have your own bring it just in case! Bait, tackle, and lunch will be provided on site and all fishing will be catch and release. The recommended age group is 5-12 but local families are welcome to come and join in the fun.
