Tax Day is Upon Us

4 days left until the 2017 Tax Filing Deadline – April 17, 2018

That’s right, we get an extra two days to file a Federal Tax Return for those of us who just LOVE to procrastinate! Why is that? Because April 15 falls on a Sunday AND the Washington D.C. Emancipation Day holiday will be observed on the next day, April 16th. It’s interesting the way these things work and yet this time, it’s not such a bad thing (for most of us).

So, what needs to be filed by April 17, 2018? Your Federal Income Tax Return, duh! But what if you need more time? You will need to file a Tax Extension by April 17 to give yourself that time you need to finish your Tax Return.

State Tax Return deadlines vary by state. Yours may or may not be due on April 17, 2018 as well.
